Overview
PESAT (Pelayanan Desa Terpadu) is an interdenominational Christian foundation established in 1987 that serves poor and neglected rural children across Indonesia through holistic ministry—spiritual, physical, and social development. Its tagline, Igniting Leadership. Ending Poverty., reflects a mission to disciple rural children holistically and raise a generation of God-fearing, integrity-driven leaders.
The pesat.org website is the foundation's primary digital platform: it informs the public about programs and impact, converts visitors into child sponsors and donors, recruits volunteers and church partners, and provides a gated member portal for staff, board members, sponsors, and volunteers.
Business Problem
After 35+ years of ministry across 19 provinces—with 6,500+ students, 449+ workers, 104 PAUD/TK locations, and 33 Future Centers—PESAT needed more than a brochure site. Sponsorship and donation records were scattered, payment follow-up was manual, and staff lacked a single system to manage children, sponsors, requests, and campaigns. The public site also had to support multiple participation channels: child sponsorship, one-time donations, construction project funding, in-kind goods donations, merchandise, and partnership inquiries.
Solution
We built a production WordPress 6.x installation with a custom theme and a bespoke `pesat-sponsorship` plugin that handles the full sponsorship and donation lifecycle.
Public-facing capabilities:
- Homepage with hero video, impact stats, Indonesia service map, and Future Center program stages
- Program pages for Future Center, formal education, PAUD/TK, dormitory mentoring, mission training, rural clinic, and more
- Filterable child sponsorship browser with apply-and-pay flow via Midtrans Snap
- Campaign-based one-time donations, goods donation intake, and Future Center sponsor interest forms
